Belen Jesuit took on and beat the Archimedean School in a duel meet yesterday.
Continuing their tradition of excellence, Belen Jesuit had an extremely strong showing across the board.
Of particular note, Belen Jesuit’s Boys 200 Medley Relay went a 1:43: Alejandro Carriazo 11th, Juan Ramírez 11th, Max Garcia del Pozo 11th, Danny Simpson 11th. This relay has high hopes for potentially continuing the 2 year streak that Belen has held in winning this relay at the state meet.
In the 50 free, Daniel Simpson, 11th, went 23.52. Daniel was a finalist at state meet last year. In the 100 fly, Andres Solares, 11th, who returning from a recent broken arm, is looking to be a potential state qualifier and finalist this year.
Looking forward to the State meet, Max Garcia del Pozo 11th, a state finalist in 100 fly is looking to perform well in the 100 Free, too. Meanwhile Aitor Fungairino ,10th, new addition to Belen swim team, has high hopes to score big at state meet, perhaps in the 100 Backstroke.
For the 400 Free Relay: Aitor Fungairino 10th, Andres Solares 11th, Juan Ramírez 11th, Chris Avallone 11th competed well.
