Arnold Tops Mosley in Annual “Fish Fight” Dual Swim & Dive Meet

PANAMA CITY BEACH — The Arnold High School boys and girls swim & dive teams beat Mosley in the annual “fish fight” dual meet held Thursday, September 17 at the Panama City Beach Aquatic Center. Arnold boys topped Mosley 618 to 556, while the Marlin girls edged the Dolphins 569 to 527. All in all, Arnold swimmers took first place in 19 of 24 events.
Stand out swims for the Marlin boys included first place finishes in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay. Individual firsts came from juniors Chad McGuire (200 IM and100 breaststroke) and Alex Phlegar (100 backstroke), and sophomores Cole Tillman and Nico Gobel in the 200 and 500 freestyle events respectively.
Like the boys, the Marlin girls also swept the relay events. Individual firsts came from senior Hannah Retherford (100 butterfly and 100 backstroke), juniors Kari Troia (200 IM and 100 breaststroke) and Kalanne Krause (50 and 100 freestyle), and freshman Maddie Campbell (200 and 500 freestyle).
Finally, Arnold swept the diving competition with junior Hunter McCarter placing first for the boys and senior Carson Bronnenberg winning for the girls.
